What's on the menu?
I will strive to give you the very best all-round Danish food experience – from breakfast to dessert.
We will start off with a classic Danish pastry that you wont find anywhere outside of Denmark.
Along the way we taste traditional Danish “smørrebrød”, or open-faced rye bread sandwiches, with herring, but also get to try a more modern version of smørrebrød. No smørrebrød experience is complete without Danish beer. We go past one of the best cheesemongers in Copenhagen to sample some cheeses that have put Denmark on the map.
You will also get some delicious chocolate covered danish sweets, and maybe even some ice cream.
There is of course even more on the menu, but I don’t want to ruin all the surprises. Just show up very hungry, and I will take good care of you.
Tour Info
Meeting time is at around 11 am (or else another time is noted in the booking) and the tour will run for approximately 4 – 4 ½ hours.
The meeting point for most tours is at Israels Plads. You will be notified of the meeting point if the meeting point should change via mail a few days before the tour. So be sure to check your mail beforehand.
The total length of the walking tour is about 4-5 km, but we do it at a pace that everyone can follow.
The price is 950DKK and it includes all food samples and drinks. There will be about 10-14 samples per person per tour.
Read this before booking
- The price includes all food and drinks. Meat (including pork) and alcohol will be served on the tour. Alcohol is of course optional and we can serve water or soda instead. There are substitute for meat dishes if you prefer a vegetarian option. The tour is not recommended for a full on vegan diet, but if you are vegan – let us know and we will do what we can to accomodate it.
The tour will go ahead no matter the weather conditions so dress accordingly.
The tour will end in the center of the city close to metro stops and the shopping area.
We will try food and drinks from 7-8 different food locations along the way and the amount of food will be similar to a very large lunch so don’t fill up on breakfast (a breakfast pastry will be part of the tour).

The tour costs 950DKK (approximately €127). All sales are final – no refunds are offered (except for cancellations) but your booking can be changed for a different date depending on availability.
